[U.S VIDEO] Bum B ft. T.I & Big K.R.I.T – Recognize

Bun B announced his album, Return Of The Trill earlier this year while serving up some seafood patties. While it’s an unorthodox way to introduce a forthcoming project, fans were nonetheless stoked to know that one half of the UnderGround Kingz will be blessings us with a new album. While the initial release date for the project was set for March 16th, that clearly didn’t happen but this Friday, we’ll officially get the project in its entirety. Before it drops, he shares his new music video for “Recognize.”

Earlier this month, Bun B recruited T.I. and Big K.R.I.T for the track “Recognize” and today, he comes through with the official visual for the song. The video was directed by Boomtown Productions and features the three rappers posted up and performing the track in a warehouse filled with blue and green lights.

Peep the video for “Recognize” and make sure you check out Return Of The Trill out August 31st.

[U.S MUSIC] Translee ft. T.I – Catch This Wave

Translee came through with a new project entitled Freedom Summer earlier this week. Its first music video was filmed for the title track. As such, some of the themes it explores also echo throughout “Catch This Wave.”

T.I.P. joins his fellow southern rapper for this summer bop. He assists Translee in providing some realness over the feel-good instrumental. The vibe is light and bouncy, thanks to the gospel-like vocal samples painted throughout the track. As these voices sing about finding solace in the freedom stemming from the certainty that heaven awaits us, the rappers speak of breaking free of the constraints of today’s culture.

The toxic elements that are named vary, which is in line with Translee’s adamance in terms of representing life in a nuanced manner. The song serves as a quick history lesson and also touches upon technology and popular culture, offering a truly unique listen.
